PARTICIPANTS NEEDED 

Project: First Things First 

Site: the Momentary (AR)

We’re looking for curious individuals and local groups from Northwest Arkansas to build a community-driven procession for the opening of the Momenary in Feb 2020. In the spirit of inaugurations, groundbreakings, ribbon-cuttings, and christenings, we’re devising a ceremony that celebrates all ‘firsts’ from the community: first kiss, first steps, first words, first dance. We’re looking for performers and non-performers alike; from the captain of the roller derby team, to the neighborhood dog walker. If you’re interested in meeting people from the community, playing with a group of artists from San Francisco, and celebrating the opening of your new contemporary art space, we want to work with you!

Required dates: Saturday, October 5th; a few days in Jan (2020) TBD; a few days at the end of Feb (2020) TBD. 

How it works: First, you reach out to us with expressed interest and we have a short conversation. You join us at the Momentary Green on Saturday, October 5th for a mini-public event. Then, you’ll meet with our associate director in January for a couple of short rehearsals. At the end of February, everyone involved will meet at the Momentary to perform the First Things First public ceremony.
